The way sky box, DVD player are behind the doors yet the remote still works. The stand also gives a minimulist look
The back panel isn’t recessed so makes it seem like an afterthought.

Questions people have asked owners of the MDA Designs Tucana 1200 Hybrid TV Stand

  1. Jamie asked on
Hello, If I was to purchase with the cantilever bracket. Do I have to use it or can it be blanked off, i would like to try both ways. Is there a blanking plate over the hole.
    1. A replied on
Yes there is you can use both ways
  2. Donna asked on
What’s the stand like on a wooden floor. Legs look thin.
    1. Shajeda replied on
it's looks nice on wooden floor and i am very pleased with that.
    2. John replied on
Sorry ours is on carpet, but the legs are very sturdy, be careful
when building make sure there are two people to lift it upright (it's heavy).
  3. Altaf asked on
How many degrees does the bracket swivel on each side?
    1. Anne replied on
      probably about 30 degrees
  4. Gerry asked on
Hi how many sky box/DVD ect does it house?
    1. Matt replied on
I have a Denon amp in one side, the other side has Sky Q, Apple TV. The dimensions are in one of the diagrams on the manufacturers website.
  5. Hitesh asked on
Does anybody have a 55 inch tv fitted to the stand? If so, does it look right with the overhang (Can be width of 123cm) and what is the gap between the bottom of the tv and the glossy surface of the stand? I am told the tv height is not adjustable. My tv is the Sony KD55XE9005BU model.
    1. Julia replied on
I have a 55 inch Panasonic TV. It fits width wise to the edge of the stand with no overhang and the depth from the bottom of TV to stand surface is 7 cm. Hope this helps

  6. Paul asked on
Will remotes work with the glass doors shut?
    1. George replied on
Yes no problems with the doors closed .
    2. Elfed replied on
Yes, no issues at all and have used at least 3 different remotes.
  7. Darren asked on
Is the internal self fixed in one position or, can it be set at different heights?
    1. Gary replied on
Hi, there is only 1 position for the shelf which is quite central. Space big enough for xbox one on bottom shelf and sky box on top. Hope this helps.
  8. Puneet asked on
Can any owner please confirm if the bracket for mounting TV is height adjustable? I want to place a center channel (210mm high) on the top of the unit so need to make sure there is enough clearance between the top of the unit and the bottom edge of the TV.
    1. Stephen replied on
The bracket mounting is not adjustable , the picture shows my 49 inch Sony and there's a lot of space below with the unit.
