It looks more expensive than it was, just love how it looks, I would recommend this unit
The instructions needed adapting when putting the metal rods through the unit.

Unit is smart and blends in well with the room style.
The black rear panel gets in the way of protruding connections, To comprehensive sound systems and DVD players. I had to modify it to make room for them, as the front drop down door hinges protrude into the lower shelf space forcing the equipment almost onto the panel.

Questions people have asked owners of the TNW Elegance 1050 Oak TV Cabinet

  1. David asked on
what is the size of bottom shelf please

    1. Stephen. replied on
Ok the item we have and i cant guarantee they haven't changed it, and im assuming you mean the middle shelf measures 94cm x 35 cm. In fact the bottom shelf is approx the same but you have to take approx 4 cm because of the door soft close mechanism take up some of the free space. Hope this helps. Steve B
    2. Dave replied on
The bottom shelf is divided into two and each side measures 46.5cm x 35cm but is hampered by an arm on each side which, as Stephen says, reduces each side by 2cm. Height is 20cm.

The two units that we have on the bottom shelf measure 43cm x 25cm and 43cm x 20cm. Anything over 24 cm will possibly be restricted by the hinges which are placed at the front, rather than the sides.

Obviously if you leave off the door, you won't have this problem.
  2. Laura asked on
How wide is the gap where a sound bar would fit? The side panels look quite thick and we have a long sound bar.
    1. Stephen replied on
Well sound bars are not something we are into but we guess you mean the inside width between the two ends.
It is 36-3/4 inches or 93.5 cm as near as we can get to measure it, however if you intend to fit it in the bottom opening you will need to take into account the fact you will loose approx 3/4 to 1 inch each end as the opening brackets reduce the gap by that amount. Hope this helps you.
    2. Mark replied on
Hi, I measure the gap as 94cm. I had the same problem as you and ended up buying a new sound bar, wish I’d have asked the question first!. I bought a new Panasonic soundbar measuring 84cm long which looks good but doesn’t sound as good as my old lg.
  3. linda asked on
Is this item oak Vaneer or solid oak?
    1. Jay replied on
    2. Dave replied on
      Oak veneer
    3. Stephen replied on
The answers we give to this question are our opinions only but will try and make them as honest as possible.
We don't believe it to be solid oak but we are very happy with our purchase and would buy again. One nice touch on ours is that the opening bottom "door" is soft close.
      Hope this helps you.

  4. Chris asked on
Can someone clarify how the door(s) open. From the photo it doesn't look as though it has hinges at the side. Is it hinged at the bottom?
    1. Stephen replied on
Yes you are correct it does hinge at the bottom. One nice aspect is that on the one we have the opening and closing is a damped action.
I hope this helps you and have a Happy Christmas.
      Steve B.
    2. Jay replied on
yes the hinges are at the bottom
