Bristol Style conscious
- We initially bought a solid wood corner cabinet for our flat screen TV to "blend in" with some of the antique oak furniture in the room but when it turned up, it was so large, it seemed to dominate the entire room . One reason it was so large was that it was very deep from front to back and projected a long way into the room. It sat in the corner like some huge sumo wrestler challenging you.
We started looking again and found this and are delighted. It needs assembling but it was very easy - it includes the Allen key and screwdriver needed to tighten the screws.
The thing we like most about it is that it is so simple and elegant and "airy". The glass shelves almost disappear and it sits quite unobtrusively in the corner. Because the shelves are rounded the unit sits much closer to the corner walls. We like it as it is but if I was asked to suggest an improvement, it would be to trim the curved glass by an inch or two so it sits even closer to the corner walls.
When viewed side by side with the solid wood unit there was no contest and the wood unit promptly went back to the manufacturer. The fact that it was only 1/5 of the price of the solid wood corner unit was a welcome bonus.
I unhesitatingly recommend it
