Smart, goes with other furniture, all oak
It's heavy, 2 people needed to put together. Instructions are very small, diagrams difficult to read.

Once put together it's a good looking piece of furniture
The instructions on putting this together are not very clear. You will need two people when the top shelf has to be fitted through the threaded bars. With regard to the door fitments on either side they are not easy to follow

This is a very solid cabinet that looks good with a 55" curved TV on it.
The instructions for building the stand could be better. I recommend careful examination of each picture before you start building and pay attention to which side of the unit each picture is displaying. Sometimes the view is from the front, other times the back but it's not made clear.

I'm not a DIY expert and it took me about 50 mins to build the stand.

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the TNW Elegance 1250 Oak TV Cabinet

  1. Tim asked on
Hi Iain, thanks for the reply. That's very helpful. Would it be possible for you to measure the depth from behind the door to the back of the bottom shelf? I can see the depth of 40cm in the product description but I'm guessing this doesn't take into account the reduced depth on the bottom shelf due to the door. Also, is there anything inside the bottom shelf that would reduce the usable depth, like a latch on the top to hold the door closed? Thanks. (Sorry for the fussy questions, but my AVR with cables protruding out the back would be very close to 40cm.)
    1. Iain replied on
Hi - depth from front of shelf behind the door to the back panel is 34cm. There is also a vertical divider supporting the middle shelf in the centre that spilts the area behind the door into two sections that are 56cm wide. There is a hinge and strut supporting the door. See photos.

Sounds like you'd either need to not fit the back panel or cut out some holes for the cables to protrude. It's just think board so that would be easy to do.

      Does that help?

  2. Tim asked on
Hello, I had a few questions about this. Any help appreciated.

Can the back be left off the bottom shelf or is it supporting weight? I would like to put my AV receiver in there and more ventilation is better.

What are the measurements for both shelves? Height, depth and width would be good to know; I'd like to fit a centre speaker below the glass top and an AV receiver behind the door, which are both quite bulky.

    1. Iain replied on
Hi -just measured the one I built.

From the floor to the glass shelf : 47.5 cm
The "internal" top shelf (from wooden shelf to glass) : 19 cm
Cupboard height (behind hinged door): 20 cm

Depth and width are on the website.

The back is thin fibre-board so I don't believe it's bearing any weight.

      Does that help?
  3. Darren asked on
Can anyone tell me the internal height of the top shelf?
